Have you ever truly considered the book of Psalms? We hear it in church, see portions posted online, we memorize for foundation, hope and promises…. Yes! But have we truly ever leaned into the heart and scenery of the Psalmist?
Psalm 46 fed me differently while getting my daily bread, to where I had to stop reading and give God glory and attest to the fact that those, of that time and that place with God, thought different and spoke different of His glory, His creation, and His Throne! I was overcome with awe, and revelation, which was coupled with exciting fear.
The Fear is He is God, the excitement? I belong to Him!
Hope you can chew today on verse 8, it says… ~ “Come behold the works of the Lord, how he has brought desolation on the earth.” I considered many of us could see this from a stand point of the climate we are in now as a nation, with war at the cusp of most world leaders hearts, or we can dig a little deeper and allow God and the leaders of this nation to do their work, while we go focus on how we are earth (made from dirt), we were born into sinful nature, and “most” of us need some kingdoms that sit on the throne of our hearts desolated.
There are surely some doors hidden in our hearts that need the Holy Spirit to bust through and heal some narratives and root up some weeds we let fester…. for years while running our race.
I confess, in reading this and searching the Lord’s heart, I find He will lead us back to knowing that all things are possible in Christ. God is a God who can vanquish our enemies, whether they are in the natural, or the unseen spiritual realm. God can tear down the lies, confusions, and the misunderstandings, that clearly are showing us they hold no weight for our journey (by our confession), and our feet have been set firmly on the foundation of Christ, so let us open our hearts and bring our petition to be healed at the feet of Jesus. Hallelujah!
Glory to God in how He anchors us in the revelation of His constant majesty in every chapter, paragraph, and verse. The Word is the Lord and how tenderly He expounds upon what He wants us to know about Him.
So now, what will we consider? What will we so joyfully testify and give away because He came and cleansed the throne of our hearts and exchanged lies, we believed in our haughtiness and pride, confusion or misunderstanding, and exchanged it for the Truth, the Way and the Life!
Let’s run and buy the truth, and do not sell it, also wisdom and instruction and understanding, (Proverbs 23:23).
Let us invest prioritizing our salvation and seek after God’s truth, for the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 2:6).
Until Next Time Beloved, Read the Word to Know Him!
