As children of God with emotions and feelings we can be easily hurt, offended, criticized and become detached from desiring to witness, preach or share the Kingdom of God. For some of us, trials and tribulation may become unbearable when we walk as witnesses in our flesh and not in spirit, (Matthew 26:41).

I’ve grown to believe that God allows others to come into our midst and comfort zones, not only to shake things up a bit, but to prepare us for many other battles. Battles expose what we are fighting with, and what we are fighting for! This I believe is God’s purpose and desire that we look to Jesus and draw from His strength to endure, because we are in for a bumpy ride.

Though we may feel offended by someone, God wants us to stand still and trust He will provide an answer. Sometimes, yes, we are not content with that answer, we may want to retaliate; we may want action now! Patience and endurance are something God through the Holy Spirit and His word wants to show us these are the desires of our flesh, yet I believe God's question for us is…

What does the spirit want and what does the spirit expect?

Growing is a process and some growth is involuntary. Some spiritual growth we embrace, receive and are aware of. Yet, we may lack faith in some areas but either way, it will require us to grow.

We will need to take part and apply.

Our walk isn’t always painless or comfortable, but it is effective for the spirit that is in us to prosper. Life doesn't guarantee that we will be accepted, respected, or received; but God's acceptance and His arms that receive us are reassurance and a guarantee, that "If God be for us, who can stand against us?"

We will be challenged, called out of our names, and tested, yet, these types of spiritual challenges build perseverance, (Romans 5:3-5). Being called out of our name asserts our spirit to a Christ like mentality, because we now belong to Him.

Being tested produces an opportunity to examine our true identity of human nature, and points us in the direction of what is at work in us because of sinful nature and what is at work in us by faith because it believes in God’s transformation.
